Tarot vs Ouija Board: Safety, Claims, Honest Differences

Mechanically opposite tools

Tarot cards are static pictures shuffled and interpreted — like flicking a book of poems open and landing somewhere. A Ouija board is a talking-board whose planchette moves by human hands; whether by spirits or by the ideomotor effect, the movement is human.

Why fears cluster around boards

Boards operate in the dark, in groups, expecting contact — a perfect recipe for adrenaline and shared suggestion. Cards are used in daylight, alone, with reflective intent.

If you're anxious about tools-that-talk, tarot is the safe pick precisely because nothing is 'answered' except your own interpretation. Portals, possession and invocation episodes belong to fiction — and to a completely different hobby.
